Closer and Closer: Weaving at Prairie Sky School

Our grand finale, Prairie Sky School's Showcase, "Tapestry in Nature," is scheduled for the evening of Friday, June 14.  There will be dance performances, poetry, painting, photography and a variety of fibre arts, all of which the students have worked on with different artists this year.

I'll be spending the next few days weaving at the school and then taking the larger tapestry home to be finished and blocked.  There's not much more to do, as you can see below. In the top photograph, you can see where we began weaving yesterday; the second shows where I stopped today:

Three more lovely bags are completed:

Most of the bags will be finished by next week and will be displayed with the large piece, along with our free form weaving on the second loom.  It will be a great night!
